NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) –

For many parents, finding the right place to trick-or-treat is a top safety concern this Halloween. Now, there’s a new tool to map out children’s Halloween night.

Aloe Franke is excited about her Halloween costume. She is dressing up as an Indian in hopes of getting lots of candy. But before she knocks on any doors, her mother is mapping out a game plan for a safe night on a community social network called Nextdoor.

“They have a trick-or-treat map,” said Aylin Ozgener, Franke’s mother. “They have these large, beautiful candy corns that tell us where we can go trick-or-treat.”
