As they await the grand jury’s decision on whether to indict police offer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown, protesters in Ferguson, Mo. and across the country are using social media to organize their demonstrations. They are using Twitter TWTR +0.40%, Facebook FB +0.35% and Tumblr to spread the word about planned protest locations, sending text messages with announcements and collecting donations and supplies.
