Tiger Pistol, the Australian social marketing platform provider, has closed a $3.1m investment round led by Melbourne IT which it says will drive further growth both here and in the US.

Tiger Pistol was founded in 2012 by Steve Hibberd and Troy Townsend and has 30 employees in offices in Melbourne and Los Angeles. It provides a social media marketing platform for SMEs, allowing them to leverage big data and social networking sites.
