Social media is a major part of the marketing plan for real estate agent Rich Tyson of Realty USA in Greece. Each day, he sets aside time to promote his business and his clients’ homes on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.


“When they see activity, they associate success,” says Tyson, 32.


Realtors such as Tyson say engaging people through social media is an effective way to market their brand. It’s also an additional tool to reach potential customers who may share their listings.


Tyson started in the real estate industry two years ago and had to build his business from the ground up. This year, he will record $4 million in sales. He credits social media for much of his success.
