The parameters of what constitutes unlawful speech on the Internet are still being written.
In December, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a case where a husband made threats against his estranged wife on his Facebook page, including claims that he would not rest until her body was “soaked in blood and dying.”
After a FBI agent visited him, the husband posted that it “took all the strength I had not to… slit her throat, leave her bleedin’ from her jugular.”
