PORTLAND, Ore. – A state law is in the works to stop bosses from requiring their employees to get on social media.

The proposed bill would also bar employers from making their staff post advertisements on their personal social media accounts.

Senate Bill 185 is aimed at strengthening existing laws that protects employees or job applicants from having to give up their passwords to social sites like Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter.
