CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are looking into social media posts made by an officer who shot a teenager during an altercation last Saturday night in north Charlotte.

Officer Paul Quinichett was placed on administrative leave after he fired his service weapon, wounding the teenager who investigators have said refused to drop a gun when ordered to do so.

Quinichett was placed on administrative leave, which is standard while an investigation of the shooting is ongoing.

A department spokesman confirmed that investigation has widened to include Quinichett’s online activity.
