A recent lecture restored my faith in the power of Facebook to connect people.
I’ve had a love-hate relationship with the networking site for some time, yo-yoing between updating my status and commenting on friends’ posts hourly to re-categorizing the majority of my ‘friends’ to ‘acquaintances’ in a bid to regain some privacy.
I’ve never considered using the site for business. The decision about whether or not add office colleagues two years ago was perplexing enough for me, and I remain skeptical about whether it was the right move today. And don’t even get me started on adding business contacts, a trend that continues to baffle me.
