If you use Twitter, then you may have noticed random tweets appearing in your timeline coming from accounts you don’t follow.

It’s part of a series of experiments run by Twitter to make timelines more interesting for its members, the social network revealed in a blog post Thursday.

The experiments focused on adding recommended tweets, accounts or topics to users’ timelines to help make them more interesting.
