An internationally reputed commentator says the US is “violating freedom of speech and freedom of press" by imposing restrictions on high tech companies and social networking sites.
Scott Rickard, the former American Intelligence Linguist, said in an interview with press TV that "the government has worked hand in hand with … high-tech companies" to control communications.
The remarks come as social network company Twitter has sued the US administration over restrictions it has imposed on the firm for disclosing the government’s secret orders to hand over user data in the name of national security.
