Vancouver-based social media company Hootsuite Media Inc. has closed a US$60-million financing round and acquired a voice-technology company Zeetl, marking its third acquisition this year.

The financing will help the company scale even faster on a global level, said Hootsuite chief executive Ryan Holmes.
